Somewhat outside the theme was the DVD player we gave him, a great deal that ended up coming without some necessary cables or a remote. It finally quit working altogether some months later. Olivier, ever resourceful, bought a new one, then swapped it for his broken model and returned it for a full refund. Way to stick it to The Man, Olivier!
